A few thngs I saw the other weekend at the MG Car Club Qld circuit, Mt Cotton.
Pic 1 is a home-made mutant, Yamaha R1 engine, note the angle bracket on the nose to support the wing - should be under a bookshelf.
Pic 2 & 3 is a Dallara chassis powered be a Synergy V8 - 2x1200cc motorbike engines joined together, made in unzud 'eh bro.
Car (Kart) #303 was listed in the official programme as a "Fubar Mk 36", running a 750cc Suzuki engine.
The black #7 open wheeler is a Van Dieman (methinks it's winged Formula Ford chassis) with a turbo 13b.
Suzuki Swift running the Turbo engine & AWD running gear from an EVO Lancer.
#33 is another home-built special, running a Suzuki motorbike engine. Note the in-board coil-overs, this thing was QUICK.
Mini has the 1.3Lt engine & 'box from a Suzuki Swift GTI.
Next is a supercharged, twin-spark Dak-Dak engine in another home-built special.
The last pic is the current Qld & Australian champion - Brett Hayward. The car is his own design & build, running gear from a Suzuki Hayabusa. Hepas of footage on youtube, search for mt cotton hillclimb. |
